Joint Usage / Research Center (JHPCN)
     The Cybermedia Center of Osaka University, designated “Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures” (network type) began as a MEXT program in April 2010.
    The Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information infrastructures is composed of eight supercomputer equipped data centers in the following institutions: Hokkaido University, Tohoku University, University of Tokyo, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Nagoya University, Kyoto University, Osaka University, and Kyusyu University. This is a networked joint usage and collaborative research center, and the core institution is the Information Technology Center of the University of Tokyo.
    The Cybermedia Center promotes joint usage/research for optimization of vector and scalar hybrid computing, management technology for vector and scalar hybrid computers, and large-scale data visualization technology.
