The Cybermedia Center has constructed a new computer center building called “IT Core Annex” in the fall of 2014, which integrates large-scale computers, various servers in the university, ODINS, etc.

IT Core Annex

The IT Core Annex is a data center that contains numerous large scale computers. It is built with two stories of steel framing, and the total floor area covers 2000 square meters. The entire facility consists of an electric equipment building and server building. In order to blend in with the environment and provide a good view, the peripheral wall is designed using gently curving surfaces and semitransparent metal panels.
The main computer and server area are separate from the facility equipment area, which includes air conditioning and power supply units. The first floor contains machinery facilities (approximately 1000 square meters) and the second floor is for computer and server rooms with a double wall structure (approximately 600 square meters). Services include storage of large scale computer systems, servers, the campus cloud, and other systems.
